APR stands for Annual Percentage Rate. It shows the cost of borrowing over a year.

But most of our customers only borrow for a few months — not a whole year. That’s why the number can look bigger than it really is.

For example, if you borrow £500 and pay it back in 6 months, you won’t pay a year’s worth of interest — you’ll only pay for the time you have the loan.

So even though the APR might look high, the actual cost can be much lower — and we’re often cheaper than other short-term lenders.

We work out interest daily based on how much you owe that day. The sooner you pay, the less interest you pay — and that means saving money.

Yes. Even if we can’t offer you a loan, our MoneyToolkit might still be able to help. You should of received an email with the link.

What we check when you apply

  • Can you afford the loan payments?

  • Are you keeping up with your other bills?

  • If you are under DRO/IVA or a debt management plan

  • If you have a history of not paying credit back

We may say no or ask for more information if we see:

  • Unauthorised overdrafts

  • Payments that didn’t go through

  • No income on the bank account you sent us

  • A lot of gambling

  • Lots of new loans

  • Loan defaults in the last 6 months

  • More money left over than expected (our loan might not be the best fit)

  • You’re in a debt plan like a DMP, IVA or DRO

Even if we can’t help you right now, your situation might change, and you can apply again in the future.

The best way to get a lower rate in the future is to make all your loan payments on time and don’t reapply too early.

Did you know that using your allowed payment holidays will help if you need to take a break from payments. You can do this in the App.
