Christmas Checklist

With the run up to Christmas gathering pace, you may be very busy with everything else to make sure that big day is taken care of. Here we have created a Christmas checklist for a stress-free day


If you haven’t already started it’s definitely time to start thinking about buying your presents. Don’t worry if your not sure what to buy for your family and friends as inspiration will come once you start wondering around the shops.

Top tip: Try to make a plan for the people you need to buy presents for.


You’ve probably started receiving the odd Christmas card by now and writing Christmas cards can be a great way to relax. Wait until the kids have gone to bed and settle down with a nice hot chocolate and a fancy gold pen to write your cards with.

Top tip: Instead of sending individual cards, buy ones that are ‘From our house to your house’ this will save you time and money.


It’s easy to spend too much on your Christmas food shop, especially after you’ve bought all your presents. Make a list of what you need, work out what you can buy early and make a start now. If you’re struggling to find the time, try doing your shopping online and get it delivered to your doorstep.

Top tip: Make room in your fridge before you do your shopping.


Keeping the family entertained over Christmas can be difficult, but everyone loves a board game, and a Christmas movie always goes down well. These are fun cheap ways to spend some quality time with the family.

Top Tip: Make a festive playlist to play in the background.

Final Preparations

Give the house one final clean in preparation for the family coming round. This will free up time to spend with the family and a chance to check you have everything you need.

Enjoy the day

As stressful as it can be, don’t forget to enjoy the day. It’s your day too so just time to relax, enjoy some family time, and indulge before the January workout regime begins.
